The Skilled Laborer is responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, frequently load and unload heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To do well in this role you should be reliable and a hard worker.

This position will be starting in Summer 2021 with the ability to likelihood to continue employment. This position is a great opportunity to grow within the construction industry as well as at Bauer Design Build.

This person will report directly to the Director of Field Operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preform carpentry work
  • Perform site clean-up
  • Prep construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards
  • Load or unload construction materials
  • Learn and proficiently use BDB construction software
  • Follow instructions from supervisors
  • Assist and direct onsite crews
  • Assist in daily safety inspections
  • Assist in quality assurance inspections
  • Help equipment operator, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary
  • Be willing to learn from on-the-job training when necessary

Experience and Skills:

  • Must have valid driver license
  • Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned
  • Ability to do physical labor
  • Ability to work in all weather
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • General safety knowledge
  • Ability to effectively use construction tools
  • Carpentry Skills
  • Procore experience preferred
