PICA Head Start

PICA supports families in Hennepin County by providing comprehensive services including early childhood development, health services, workforce development programs and parent training opportunities.

PICA was an existing facility in Minneapolis that was set to remodel their existing facility previous a 100 year old convent. Bauer was selected early in process to assess the costs and viability of the build, after review we were able to change course to demolish the existing convent but keep the slab and foundations in place. This allowed a new 2 story facility to be built as an addition to the rest of the campus. Bauer was able to deliver a class A facility that now acts as a training hub for the greater PICA goal and other facilities. The project was completed as design assist where Bauer was responsible for several design elements to control pricing and schedule successfully.
